Inspiring a New Generation

Theatre Arts in Education

Adjunct Professor – SUNY Stony Brook

Inspiring a new generation of theatre artists to create work of excellence and meaning is my passion. In the classroom or in the rehearsal studio, I seek to share my knowledge of the history and practice of this art form to both majors and non-majors to develop their collaborative storytelling and to maximize their range of creative expression.

I teach undergraduate level courses in:

  • Introduction to Theatre Arts 101, using my textbook that focuses on the devising process and collaborative storytelling
  • Play Analysis & Musical Theatre Play Analysis, both in the classroom and online
  • Theatre History
  • Greek Dramatic Literature
  • Acting I
  • Arts Marketing
  • Arts Entrepreneurship & Producing

I’ve published Introduction to Theatre, the current textbook in use for all THR 101 classes at SUNY Stony Brook, that gets even non-majors up on their feet and actively involved in the devising process. Check it out in my store.
